Understanding Navarathri and its Science
22 Sept- 02 Oct 2025
In order to remove poverty and ignorance from the earth plane, we need the Goddess. And during the 9 Nights of Power, it is possible to Invoke the 3 Goddess Archetypes of Protection (Warrior), Abundance & Wisdom.
Scientific theory states that energy is imperishable not created or destroyed. It is always there and is available for both males and females. Every year during the months of September – October, we celebrate the descent of the Divine Feminine to the Earth plane. Navarathri literally means “nine nights.” The Nine Nights/Moon Phases of the Goddess is an important time period wherein the energy of 3 primary Shaktis of the Divine Feminine, the Supreme Goddess, is invoked.
Divine blessings are invoked so that everyone obtains wisdom and the following three Shaktis:
Ichcha Shakti - Willpower
Kriya Shakti - Power to perform right action
Jnana Shakti - Knowledge of right action
For any puja, a commitment is required. In order to obtain success in achieving our goal, we pray to the divine at the beginning of the pujas and this is called Sankalpa. When Sankalpa is taken by an individual for his/her family, it is called Atmartha Sankalpa. At the same time, when Sankalpa is taken for the benefit of the whole world, it is called Parartha Sankalpa.
How does the Devi energy manifest during the homas?
Kala, Tattva, Bhuvana, Mantra, Pada, and Varna are known as Shadadhwas and are connected to the Shadadharas in the body.
Changes are seen not only in ourselves and our body but in our surroundings too. Goddess Durga is worshipped in different forms during Navarathri or Durga Puja.
